Why "Donna Flight Scholarship" ?

Scholarship named after her in a cockpit

The Donna Flight Scholarship honors Donna Sesock, my aunt, who passed away in 2021. Donna was raised in Parma, Ohio, and after graduating from Case Western Reserve University, she began her career as a flight attendant with United Airlines, traveling all over the world. Her love of aviation didn’t stop there she even became a private pilot herself. Donna lived in Southern California, but she always made sure distance never got in the way of family. We shared the same birthday, December 14, and every year she would send me gifts from across the country. One year, she even drove her Corvette all the way from California more than 35 hours just to be with her family. Donna embodied adventure, dedication, and generosity qualities that inspire this scholarship. The Donna Flight Scholarship was created in her memory to help other aspiring aviators in Northeast Ohio take flight, just as she did.
